About Scooter
I finished high school in 1967-68 at the height of Rock and Roll, Life could not have been more fun.. I chose to attend Louisiana Tech in Ruston for a Degree in Advertising, and Interior Design, I studied under a World Famous Interior Designer, Ms. Mary Moffit. I then went on to finish My Degrees at LSU.
In 1977 I decided to open my own business, I started decorating homes that were being built by several homebuilders. This went on for about 3 years. The bottom dropped out of the oil boom. My homebuilding business was all but non existent.I then went on to develop my design business. Throughout the years, I have helped many folks find peace with the colors they desired. By this I mean that I kept them from making costly mistakes. In the past, I staged the Capes on the thrones of the King and Queen of Holiday in Dixies floats.
Today, I still decorate for different People, (always looking for new jobs). I have been to Houston recently to decorate a house to make it feel like a home. I still sell flooring: wood, laminate, and carpet from the following Manufacturers: Shaw, Mannington, Armstrong, and Mohawk.
One day near the start of 1996, I was going through the mail and happened upon a postcard that read "Eliminate Cigarette Odors". Being a reformed smoker, I thought this might be a great product to sell. I made arrangements with the sales representative at the time (Ron Ledet) to buy 6 lamps plus a small amount of refills and started advertising Lampe Berger.
It wasn't very long before I was getting big results from this small fragrance lamp known as Lampe Berger Paris: I chose to advertise several ways including on the radio( Keel-am; kvki-fm;). It was truly amazing how many people were responding to my adds while they werr airing and then visiting me to learn more about this fabulous product, made by Lampe Berger. Every year, more and more people are coming back too . I am going on 62 now, and I really love working to become a total fragrance destination for those who want there homes to always smell good. If you have a problem with your Lampe Berger (even if you bought it elsewhere), feel free to give me a call, and I will be happy to help however possible.
Customer service is what it is all about. Should you need help immediately, you are also welcome to give me a ring on my personal cell phone at 318-426-8400. And remember... "A lamp by any other name is not a Lampe Berger."
